Our School News Letter
We have recently transferred our School Newsletter to a new site that has been made readily available online. This has allowed our School Council to become part of the writing process and will enable us to easily share the awesome work of our tamariki.
Our site can be found here at: https://sites.google.com/rs.school.nz/rssnews/home
Furthermore, paper copies will still be printed to ensure that our tamariki's work and our awesome school get as much coverage as possible.
If you have any further questions about our School Newsletter, please don't hesitate to contact us or leave a message

Attendance
Attendance has always been a focus here at Rhode Street School. This year we hope to build awareness around the statistics of our school in terms of understanding how we are tracking from week to week. This data will be updated regularly.
Please take some time to talk to your tamariki about the chart we have displayed.
What is PB4L
PB4L School-Wide looks at behaviour and learning from a whole-of-school as well as an individual child perspective. The framework is based on international evidence.
The Positive Behaviour for Learning School-Wide framework, otherwise known as PB4L School-Wide, is helping New Zealand schools build a culture where positive behaviour and learning is a way of life. The framework can be tailored to your school’s own environment and cultural needs.
It’s not about changing the students; it’s about changing the environment, systems and practices you have in place to support them to make positive behaviour choices.
PB4L School-Wide is based on the Positive Behavioural Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework developed at the University of Oregon in the 1990s. PBIS is now in thousands of schools across the United States and there are over 1050 School-Wide schools in New Zealand.
